Troye Sivan has announced his new album, Something to Give Each Other, which is out October 13 via Capitol. The album is billed as a “celebration of sex, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love and friendship.” The lead single is “Rush,” which arrives today with a new video directed by Gordon von Steiner. Watch it below.
“‘Rush’ is the feeling of kissing a sweaty stranger on a dancefloor, a two-hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer,” Sivan said in a statement. “Party after party, after party after after party. All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free and liberated. Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me.”
Sivan recently appeared on the Weeknd’s HBO series The Idol; he also covered George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord” for the program. Something to Give Each Other is Sivan’s third studio LP, following 2018’s Bloom and 2015’s Blue Neighbourhood.
