A man was shot and critically injured during Lil Baby’s concert in Memphis last night (September 7). The shooting took place inside FedExForum, located at 191 Beale Street, as the Memphis Police Department revealed in a statement on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter). After police arrived on the scene around 10:23 p.m., the victim was transported to Regional One Health hospital in critical condition. Per the statement, the identity of the shooter is currently unknown.

According to a report from local outlet WREG-TV, Lil Baby was performing as the shooting occurred, and was rushed off the stage after the shots were fired. Concertgoer Clarissa Johnson told WREG-TV that she “heard a pop” during the show and told her friends to “get down” before evacuating the arena.
