Jane Remover has announced her sophomore album, Census Designated. The follow-up to Frailty is out October 20 via DeadAir. Jane Remover also shared a new song from the album, “Lips.” Listen to it below.

Census Designated features a new album version of “Contingency Song,” which Jane Remover released in November 2022. Last year, she also shared an individual version of “Cage Girl” and the song “Royal Blue Walls.”

The producer, singer, and songwriter said in a press release that a cross-country road trip through a blizzard served as a major inspiration for Census Designated. “It was kind of like a reality check,” she said. “I am painfully self-aware, and it leads me to ruin like 90% of the experiences and memories I make. So I guess going through a near-death experience made me want to stop ruining things for myself.”
