Global Citizen Festival returns to the Great Lawn in New York City’s Central Park on September 23. It’s a free benefit concert seeking to help end extreme poverty. Ms. Lauryn Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray, and Stray Kids are set to perform.

Two years ago, Ms. Lauryn Hill and the reunited Fugees performed in New York City as part of Global Citizen. It was the beginning of what was supposed to be a reunion tour, ultimately canceled due to COVID-19. This year, the band delivered a surprise performance at Roots Picnic. The performance came after Pras Michel was found guilty by a federal jury on charges including conspiracy, witness tampering, and failing to register as an agent of China. He has yet to be sentenced.

This year’s festival will stream via the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, Facebook, iHeartRadio, Instagram, TikTok, TimesLIVE, Twitter, Veeps, YouTube, and the Global Citizen website and app.
