Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band have postponed the remainder of their September 2023 tour dates, beginning with tomorrow’s (September 6) show JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York. The band announced the postponements on social media, attributing a statement to Springsteen himself:

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon.

Love and God bless all,
Bruce”

In March, Springsteen canceled several shows “due to illness” without disclosing who was ill. Later that month, he was awarded a National Medals of Arts by President Joe Biden. In April, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced that September 23 will now officially be known as Bruce Springsteen Day.
